Rick Williams

As a small businessman who was born and raised in Middle Georgia, I’ve seen what makes our community so great. That’s why I’ve lived here, worked here, and raised my family here my entire life. It’s why, as your State Representative since 2016, I’ve been proud to champion our conservative Middle Georgia values by backing the largest tax cuts in state history, protecting the 2^nd Amendment, and passing pro-life legislation with Georgia Life Alliance like the Heartbeat Bill and Gracie’s Law.

That’s also why I’m answering the call to service by running for State Senate District 25 - because our conservative progress is under attack by the radical left and the woke mob. I’m running to ensure we have a serious conservative leader for our community who is laser-focused on solving the tough issues facing our families - not worried about lining his own pockets with big government contracts for his businesses, or using the office as a social club.

More About Rick

Rick Williams was elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 and represents District 145, which includes Baldwin County and portions of Putnam County.
Rick is the product of Georgia’s public school system and graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1970. After high school, Williams followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career in the funeral services industry and attended Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science.

While operating his family business alongside his father, Rick was appointed by Mayor James Baugh M.D. to serve as Chairman on the Mayor’s Committee of Hiring the Handicapped. Rick was later appointed as chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Milledgeville in 1985. In 1987, Rick was elected to the Baldwin County Commission and served as chairman in 1991 and 1992. He continued his lengthy career in public service in 1998 and was appointed Chief Registrar of Baldwin County. He served in this position until resigning in 2016 to seek the office of state representative.

Rick co-owns multiple funeral service-related businesses, including Williams Funeral Homes of Milledgeville, Gordon and Eatonton, Williams Crematory of Milledgeville, Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery and Washington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rep. Williams is actively involved in his local community and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville, the Milledgeville Kiwanis Club, Benevolent Lodge #3 F&AM, Al Shiah Shrine and the Voter Registration Association of Georgia. Rick is also a member of the Georgia Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association and The Georgia Academy of Graduate Embalmers.

Rick is the husband of Donna Guillebeau Williams and the father of three children, Spencer, Cameron and Amber. He is the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren.

ELIMINATE STATE INCOME TAX

I fought to keep Georgia’s economy open and thriving during the pandemic, now I’m fighting to eliminate the state income tax entirely.

I’ve defended our constitutional right to bear arms against the radical left, I will never waver in fighting against Biden’s anti-gun agenda.

ELECTION INTEGRITY

I’ve worked tirelessly to end the left’s voter fraud schemes and reform our elections process to restore integrity and confidence that every vote is legal and counted.
